You thought about seeing a chiropractor. Finally, you picked up the phone and made the appointment. The first adjustment seemed to help a lot. The second one…not so much. The chiropractor wants to see you twice a week for (seemingly) the rest of your life!


“This is all ridiculous”, you think. You stare at your calendar. Next week, you’ve got to go back to the doctor for your monthly pill fix. That’s all he does. He changes the drugs in hopes of hitting “the one that will do the job”.



But, that never happens. At the end of each appointment, which lasts on average 6 minutes, you get new prescriptions and a pat on the back.


On top of all that, you feel like a bad parent since you’d rather rest than pay attention to your kids. You worry if you’ll be able to keep doing your job and what happens if you can’t do it anymore. Your marriage is suffering and your sex life has gone out the window.  Your friends don’t call anymore because you have blown them off one too many times since you need to rest.


You’re angry, frustrated and don’t know where to turn. Instinctively, you know something else is wrong but don’t know what it is.


Let me tell one one important fact: it’s not your fault.




Ok, do I have your attention now? Doctors, physical therapists and chiropractors may mean well. Or, they may be stringing you along to get as much money out of you as possible. One thing thing they all have in common is they have very little training in nutrition. And I’m sure that I’ll ruffle more than a few feathers where I say that, but it’s true.


Oh, sure, your chiropractor sells some supplements as a side business (they call it a “profit center”) after he cracks your neck. Maybe he has some training in herbal medicine. But, it’s doubtful that he has spent a lot of time studying the connection between nutrition and pain.

It is estimated that 100,000,000 people in the the U.S. are in chronic pain. Enough pain pills are prescribed each year to drug every man, woman and child for an entire month. So, what’s really going on here?


It’s really very simple. Food is not food anymore. Huh?, what does that mean? If you look at the nutritional value of fruits and vegetables and compare them to 50 years past, you’ll find that they contain much less vitamins and minerals.


Farming has turned so commercial that the chemical fertilizers used can’t possible replace all the good minerals that were leached out of the soil many years ago.


Beef is actually very good for you. It contains a lot of B vitamins, Omega 3 fatty acids and iron. But, the catch is…it must be grass-fed beef.


Recently, here in Wisconsin, there was an interesting case where part of a highway was covered in red gunk when a truck overturned. The Sheriff came to check it out and, sure enough, it was Skittles all over the highway. Skittles? Where was a truck full of Skittles going? No one gave it a second thought.



But, they should have. You see, a farmer ordered the Skittles to feed to his cattle! Really, I’m not kidding. This is a widespread practice. Farmers often feed the cheapest food they can find to cattle to fatten them up. Including Skittles. Including lots of antibiotics.


So, you have to ask yourself, how good is that beef you buy at the store?




Most Americans, and increasingly others around the world, eat highly processed junk food for at least 30% of their diet. They guzzle preservatives (chemicals), food coloring (made from crude oil) and tons of sugar.


They have widespread deficiencies of vitamins, minerals and fiber. They take prescription drugs to control their blood pressure, cholesterol and pain.


DId you know that every drug you take actually drains MORE of the critical nutrients you need out of your body? Your doctor probably doesn’t know that either…he never had any training in that subject.
